Anderson State Bank Marks 150th Anniversary With $150,000 Endowment to Support ROWVA Students and Educators
ONEIDA, IL — May 2026 — In celebration of its 150th anniversary, Anderson State Bank has established the Anderson State Bank 150 Fund, a $150,000 permanent charitable endowment at Galesburg Community Foundation for the benefit of the ROWVA Public School Foundation’s (RPSF) mission of strengthening ROWVA schools and supporting students and educators. “Established as a permanent endowment, the fund will provide annual support to ROWVA students and teachers not just today, but for years to come,” said Joshua Gibb, President & CEO of Galesburg Community Foundation.
Rather than hosting a one‑time anniversary event, the bank chose to honor its sesquicentennial by investing directly in the community that has supported it since 1876.
“Our 150th anniversary is about honoring the people who built this community and investing in those who will shape its future,” said Dick Anderson, President, Anderson State Bank. “The ASB 150 Fund reflects Anderson State Bank’s long‑term commitment, local partnership, and support for our ROWVA community.”

The ASB 150 Fund will provide resources to expand classroom innovation, extracurricular programs, technology and STEM projects, arts and agriculture opportunities, and teacher‑led concepts that fall outside traditional budgets. Bank employees—many of them ROWVA alumni, parents, grandparents, and volunteers—helped shape the fund’s mission and will remain actively involved in supporting its long‑term vision and impact.
Long‑term projections show the fund growing significantly over time. By 2185, annual grants are expected to reach $1 million per year, with cumulative support exceeding $32.6 million. What begins as a $150,000 contribution will evolve into a multigenerational source of opportunity for ROWVA students and teachers.
“We are incredibly grateful to Anderson State Bank for this extraordinary investment in our schools and community,” said Pete Holmes, RPSF President. “The lasting impact of this gift will be felt for generations through opportunities for students, support for educators, and continued innovation across ROWVA.” This gift marks the largest in RPSF’s history.
The ASB 150 Fund ensures that Anderson State Bank’s 150th anniversary is not just a milestone, but a lasting investment in the future of ROWVA and the community.
